Guided Nature Hike - Special one-off event with Explore East Bay (Saturday May 27th)
This is a special nature hike where we will be stopping and listening to botany and other science information shared by naturalist and poly community member Tea! The trails in Derby Canyon are fairly steep but should be easier to manage with the frequent pauses to talk. If you have local ecology or natural history questions please feel free to ask them, as well!
This event is for non-monogamous people (and allies) who want to build community while in nature.
We will start promptly at 10:15am. You’re welcome to show up at 10am to meet and mingle with other hikers. If you’re going to be late, please let me know by no later than 9:45am.
Check trail details below. Make sure the hike is suited to your current level of fitness. If you’re planning to bring a dog, you’ll need to check whether the trail is dog-friendly. Kids are welcome.

DIRECTIONS & TRAIL INFO
We’ll be meeting on the corner of Dwight Way where it meets Hillside Ave:

Free parking is available on Dwight Way but does fill up on weekends so you may want to arrive a bit in advance if you want to park close to the Clark Kerr Fire Trail trailhead. We’ll be hiking up the fire trail and down Stonewall-Panoramic Trail (unless the group agrees at the start to do the loop in reverse) to make the end of the hike a bit shadier.
