WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

  • Do you have little to no experience in rope/shibari, but really want to learn?
  • Are you an (aspiring) rope top?
  • Are you an (aspiring) rope bottom?
  • Are you looking for a refresher of basic rope safety and skills?

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

You will learn the basics of rope, including:

  • Rope safety
  • Rope handling
  • Identifying different types of rope
  • Pro/cons of using different rope
  • Consent and communication with a rope partner
  • Basic Knots
  • Practice and Multiple Applications

By the end of our Ropes 101 workshop, you will know enough to start practicing rope tying safely

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

(Recommended but not required)

  • Rope (will be provided)
  • Safety scissors (will be provided)
  • A practice partner (not guaranteed)

WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR?

  • Comfortable athleisure wear

WHO WILL ATTEND? HOW IS IT TAUGHT?

  • Small group atmosphere (<12 attendees) so get your ticket before it sells out!
  • Your Shibari practitioner (Ropes King) has 10+ years of experience
  • Interactive hands-on attention and correction

Because of our small group size, everyone will receive individual attention and instruction in addition to group instruction. You will be encouraged to practice and repeat the lessons until you can teach them back to someone else.
