Salem Saturday Munch presents: Rendering You Senseless: Sensory Deprivation w/ Stella Von Domme

For April we are proud to host Stella Von Domme (she/her) for her Sensory Deprivation class, "Rendering You Senseless".

Most humans have the use of 5 senses: Sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. When one of those senses are removed, others tend to become intensified to compensate. Take away vision and one can hear more acutely. Remove the hearing as well and smell becomes more sensitive, etc. Sensory deprivation can be a very powerful and pleasurable play style that deserves a great amount of caution and respect.

In this class we will be discussing and demonstrating not only the manipulation of the base 5 senses, but also how to integrate emotional and mental sensation. Attendees will learn how to negotiate such a scene, the risks associated with a perceived “simple” or “intro” play style, types of sensory materials that can be used, how to accommodate for players with health conditions or limiting abilities, as well as a live demonstration.

Stella_VonDomme (she/her) is a sadist with a playful and sensual twist. During her time playing with personal partners and clients as a Dominatrix, she has developed not only a love for a diverse number of kinks, but also for romancing the brain, bringing an emotional connection into the play. As she says, If you aren't in their head, then you are just hitting people.

Stella naturally has a maternal and protective nature. Through education and training bottoms, she employs love and nurturing energy to help curate a safer community. She strives to keep a close connection with groups like LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent individuals in order to make our community more diverse and enriched as a whole. She sees each person as an important part of the greater good, therefore works hard making education available so that those people are safe, ethical, and consentual players.

As of this moment, her bucket list has fun things on it like sploshing, being tied in predicament rope as a bottom, and curating an event that would look like a kink circus, complete with animals, knives, and fire!

What is the Salem Munch? 

We are a sex-positive & kink-centric group of folx who meet bi-monthly over our love of authentic, healthy sexuality while building connections in our community! We are a queer, trans/gender non-conforming, & BIPOC-friendly munch. The Tuesday Munch meets *every second Tuesday*; the Saturday Munch meets *every third Saturday*. The space is stair free with plentiful parking.

The Salem Munch also offers a library of sex-positive & kink-centric books available for community members to borrow. Education is our kink & we're here to help spread it!
